Henrik is the Managing Director of Carl Friederichs, a 185 year old uparmouring and vehicle modification company based in Frankfurt Germany.

In this conversation, Henrik spoke about the history of the company going back to 1840 and the rebuilding of the company after 1945. We spoke of the challenges of manufacturing and through life support for civilian armoured vehicles, the importance of customer collaboration, and the various materials used in the production of the vehicles.

We also discussed the reality that electric vehicles will bring their own challenges in the years ahead. Finally, we also spoke about the independent testing and certification of vehicles and particularly the issues as they relate to using different transparent glass suppliers, and also when these suppliers then change their manufacturing processes.
