As part of the 4th Annual CAV Forum, Rob delivered a structured and practical overview of how disciplined Lessons Learned systems can be applied to improve the procurement, management, and operation of civilian armoured vehicle fleets.
The session explored how organisations can transform incidents, failures, and near-misses into actionable system improvements, driving increased efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced safety. Central to this approach is the concept of awareness, feedback loops, and organisational learning as a mechanism for continuous improvement.
Rob Getreu, Principal Consultant at Armoured Consulting, outlined how a well-designed Lessons Learned framework can be embedded across procurement, fleet management, training, and through-life support, enabling NGOs and government agencies to avoid repeat mistakes and improve operational outcomes over time.
